Amazon.com Product Description Omron's HJ-151 Hip Pedometer is a great motivational tool to track your steps as you walk your way through the day, and towards greater fitness. The small device's simple operation is perfect for walking beginners, and it's a great tool to help you achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle. Whether your goal is to maintain or improve overall health, lose weight or get more energy in your daily life, physical activity is essential to staying healthy. At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day, and the HJ-151 pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace. It also calculates calories burned and the distance traveled. The sleek and small HJ-151 simply clips to your belt before you head out for a walk. Or, wear it throughout your busy day to find out just how much walking you're doing in a typical day of work, errands, and play. Note that the HJ-151 must be positioned correctly; it must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function accurately. The device counts your steps and then saves the information for up to seven days, letting you review a full week of exercise. The HJ-151 resets its internal step counter at midnight automatically so it's ready to go every morning. An easy-to-read large display also features a clock so you've always got a timepiece at your side. The HJ-151 is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last approximately one year when used for walking 10,000 steps a day. | Compare Omron Pedometers | | HJ-150 | HJ-151 | HJ-112 | HJ-720ITC | | Measurement | | - Steps

Covers the basics September 5, 2010 Amber Halliman Has a few special features (calculates distance on height and weight, "moderate" steps for hard or fast-paced steps), but generally focuses on and does a great job at the basics. What I was looking for.
Best pedometer on the market August 15, 2010 In-the-Vicinity The Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer is GREAT for gaining inspiration and awareness of your daily activity level. The amount of walking you do on the job, shopping, running errands can add up to better health and counts as a easy, productive exercise. It is more affordable and easier than others which have fewer features ; also, it records in steps and miles, keeps a seven day walking diary, and is very simple to operate. Click top button to review today and the last seven days of your daily miles/steps. Click the (ll:00) button to convert from steps to miles. Wear it on the top band of your underwear to better ensure safe keeping.

This is a great product. I even washed it by mistake, and it still works!
Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer July 28, 2010 Shada Pup 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this pedometer for my husband who had a heart attack in January, and was told to take mild exercise. He was going for walks every day, varying his route and taking a guess at how far he had actually walked. I bought this for him as a surprise gift and it works very well. He likes the way he can see how far he has walked (measured in miles), and this gives him an incentive to keep doing just a little bit more every day.
This little gizmo also tells you calories burned, how many steps you have taken and a few other things. It also resets itself at midnight so that it is ready to receive fresh data for the next day. It is quite stylish and not at all clunky. The face displays large numbers, which is also useful. My husband just attaches it to his belt, and off he goes! It has never fallen off or gotten in his way.
He likes it very much and is pleased with the product.
Really helps keep you motivated to move July 9, 2010 A. Benson (GA USA) A group of us at work are walking the U.S. We left atl and made it to Miami already. I like that the pedometer shows total steps as well as the portion that is moderate. It helps me make sure I am getting 30 min per day.
