| Customer Reviews: Pedometer June 21, 2010 T.Alvarez 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
So far so good. It is nice and compact. The cover is a little tough to open but then again, you don't want it falling open during use either. The belt clip really does keep the unit in place even while running. The only negative thing I have to say is that the directions for setting your stride etc. could be a little better.

We ordered 4 for our family to participate in a weeklong event to count our steps. ALL four were broken and useless by the 4th day. They seemed awesome when they arrived, I loved that they counted calories, were able to calculate distance for varying stride lengths etc. but to have them all break was terrible.
My Favorite Pedometer May 7, 2010 Rebecca Johnson (Washington State) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
When I recently lost my first Oregon pedometer I really missed knowing how many steps I was walking. Of course as soon as I ordered this new one, the other mysteriously appeared outside our apartment.
This Oregon Calorie Stepper Pedometer doesn't work if you toss it in your pocket, you have to make sure it is attached to your belt or at least at the waistband. It makes a soft clicking sound as you walk but your brain will eventually filter out the noise so you no longer hear it.
So what are the features? Well this Pedometer seems to have them all:
Calorie Measurement
Total Distance in miles
Steps taken
A Backlight
Body Weight - (65 - 340 lbs)
Motion Sensitivity Switch
Reset button
Clock
Time that has elapsed
HR/ + - changes time and helps to input weight for
calorie counter
Min/ - changes time
(You do need a paper clip to set time, etc.)
For example, this is what I recorded today:
Steps: 8,737
Calories burned: 214
Miles: 2.75
The only thing I don't like about this pedometer is that it is fairly difficult to open. You really have to press down pretty hard on the cover release button. I think it has to be that way otherwise the pedometer would open while you were walking.
Don't worry about buying batteries to get this pedometer to work. It comes with two LR43 1.5V batteries that are easy to replace. The batteries should last one year.
I think you will love this pedometer and it will motivate you to try to
reach 10,000 steps a day. One day I actually did walk 15,116 steps so
it is possible to walk more than the recommended 10,000 steps if you
really want to push yourself.

Simple, durable, works as advertised. March 1, 2009 Mario le Mew (Oregon) 23 out of 24 found this review helpful
I like this product because it does exactly what they said it would, it came with batteries and it works without reading pages of instructions. Simple, effective, no frills.
how far is far? December 17, 2008 Howard (Montana) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
If you want a pedometer that easy to use and that can be adjusted for stride and sensitivity, this is the one. It is far above all that we have tried.
